The hemp producer and wholesaler launches five smart products made from a sustainable mix of materials

Düsseldorf, June 08, 2022. Clear designs with clever extras and uniquely sustainable material – that’s what the new styles from PURE Bags promise. The new collection is designed to make everyday life easier and is an asset for anyone who wants robust and sustainable accessories such as backpacks, belly bags or toiletry bags. All products are made from the renewable raw materials hemp and organic cotton in BSCI-audited* production facilities. Accessories that pollute people and the environment are thus a thing of the past – instead, the products offer a durable and timeless alternative to fast fashion models.

Under the brand name “PURE”, accessories have been produced from the forward-looking raw material hemp since 1995. Hempro International’s corporate goal is to offer socially, ecologically and qualitatively fair products that are particularly useful and durable – thus distancing the company from the fast-moving fashion industry.

Natural fiber hemp – what’s in its favor?

The hemp fiber is obtained from the plant stalks of Cannabis Sativa l. and processed, for example, into textiles and building materials. In cultivation, hemp requires hardly any pesticides and herbicides, only little water and is already ready for harvesting after about four months. Hemp is biodegradable, absorbs CO2, provides biodiversity and soil protection – making it a renewable and sustainable raw material for natural fibers, for example. Hemp fiber is particularly dense and robust.

It can absorb up to 30 percent of its own weight in moisture without taking on bad odors. This means that many a wash cycle can be dispensed with – another benefit for the environment.
